Lionsgate has picked up the rights for the comedy remake LOL, from writer/ director Liza Azuelos.
The coming of age film stars Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore and Ashley Greene, is based on the 2008 French film LAUGHING OUT LOUD, which starred Sophie Marceau.
LOL focuses on what happens after a mother (Moore) reads her daughter’s racy journal. Cyrus plays the daughter.
The film is scheduled to be released on April 22, 2011.
